I miss Royal City. I think it was among his finest work, and I think there could have been at least one more arc with those characters.

My predictions for the next 6 MCU movies (not in any particular order)

is “Into the Scooby-verse” a little too on the nose?

Ghostbusters Into Darkness

I hope “Us” sticks the landing, because the sense I get from the trailer -- which admittedly might be purposely misleading -- is that it might just be a little TOO complex/layered/confusing for its own good.

I feel like we’re in a real crisis of episodic storytelling right now borne of binging; freedom from the shackles of networks; super-short seasons and trying to parlay renewals. Even the best series seem to have pacing problems and too many clunky decisions. It almost feels like we’ve gone backward in this regard,

Did this need a documentary?

Hill House was a way-above-average series that was KILLED by its last episode. I almost can’t forgive it for them. Although there was apparently a much more insidious ending (still not great) hidden within the framing of shots of the finale.

I’m also here, sadly, to say that as transcendant as Mister Miracle is, the first attempt to follow in its footsteps -- Female Furies -- is just awful. Just gives you all the more appreciation for how hard it is to write great comics.

Crap. I thought this meant comics series.

Trickiest part will be dealing with Judith and R.J. Presumably Michonne won’t tote them off on whatever adventure/disappearance she has. Gonna need some more foster parents. Damn kids ruin everything.

I am here for that.

Such a beautiful piece of music

Love the use of overture and intermission in It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

Except for a few huge set pieces, the mini-series wouldn’t even need a huge budget. Lots of opportunities for cool cameos since actors would only need to film for 1-2 days -- sort of how they did the audiobook.

Has any series that reaches 10+ years had a satisfying ending? Stuff like NYPD Blue and ER gets so far along that it’s all a blur. Maybe Cheers was long-tenured and had a great ending, but the bar is easier for a sitcom with so much of its cast intact. MASH had an all-time ratings ending, but I think that finale is

Guessing Feige at this point would only want to use GOTG3 as a springboard to launch a new team and/or new characters, rather than a movie than simply provides “trilogy closure” for a group that will become less important in the MCU. Still have to figure the plot would be some sort of “Search for Gamora,” because I

I’ll wait until we get “Abbott & Costello Meet Ethan Hunt”

Are there any catches with introducing Marvel-owned characters in Sony movies?

Another fabulous mic drop will be if we get a scene that references Kamala Khan’s family in Captain Marvel, setting her up to join as a teenage Avenger in the next set of films.
