I, too, will be avoiding my local Sonic. Both out of solidarity with these workers, and an impending fear of painful diarrhea.

I call BS on the operating costs of the Alfa. There is no way that thing isn’t spending half the year in the shop. It’s fuel costs are likely half of whats being used.

It could also just be brand protection.

A lot of Sonic’s are franchised, but Sonic Corporate said they’d be reopening with “new management”, so it’s entirely possible those guys lost their franchise agreement over this giant screwup.

I had also heard they let anyone go with more than 7 years experience, as those were the higher paid people (probably with some kind of benefits). When I heard about this yesterday, I was disgusted. I’m not even going to my local Sonic anytime soon, even if not directly affiliated with these Sonics.  This is an abuse…

That’s not  the Minnesota way.   Not  unusual to see farm equipment holding up traffic at Rush Hour.  Because nobody can be bothered to get it to the field earlier, or out of the fields later.     Minnesota nice, my ass.
