Yeah RAM insists the real fix is an updated drag link. For now they weld the jam nuts onto the drag link so it cant ever loosen (BTW, its fun to ask your dealer how the truck will be aligned if need be, once the weld is in place....at least one dealer has said “its a lifetime alignment”, and they were *serious*)

I just looked up that story. How crazy is it that Boeing did back then kinda what they did with MCAS? “Convince” the FAA its all good we got this nothing to see here.

Woohoo! A win for me!

Yep, pretty crazy! Especially considering the starting price of the engine (and at one point, you could use the almost-always-available 20% off one item coupon on them, too!)

Some variants of the engine have a hemispherical combustion chamber....so, technically “that thing got a Hemi”.

What a great non-answer answer. “Thousands or millions of cycles?” how does that explain the guy that picked up his new car, drove it to a detailing shop and found out a wheel was bent?

NP.  The seats would bother me, but seat covers are cheap.

He looked like he was trying to be a tank whisperer

True. But they arent lowering the price in an effort to sell their car that is worth, now, less than when it started.

If there werent any more Hellcats out there, sure. But there are plenty around me (actually new as well, like 2019), even for selling under MSRP.

On the flipside, if the dealer “owns” the car (i.e. they’ve paid off any loans from the manufacturer), why bother rush to sell it?

A local Dodge/RAM/Jeep dealership has a brand new, never sold/registered 2016 Challenger Hellcat in Plum Crazy Purple. The car is priced at MSRP ($69K) plus a $10K markup because of the color.

Cash for clunkers, to get everyone into newer, safer, “better for the environment” vehicles.

The irony if Mitsu gets the new Frontier before Nissan.

mils != millimeters.

Very cool!  I always felt like manufacturers keep the paint processes so secretive.  Nice to see someone lets you see what is going on.

Powdered sugar from a donut. I swear, officer.

GM calls that “Explorer mode”

OTOH if I had a hitch installed, the brilliant driver in the F150 that rear ended my pristine RAM would have lost plenty of his plastic front end to my hitch.  Instead I ended up with more damage than they did.
