I think the issue isnt too much sealant during reassembly, I think they just werent very careful or clean about getting rid of the original stuff.

That is assuming they ever make it a recall, instead of just kicking the can enough so that people who paid for it to get fixed will NOT get reimbursed down the line.

Local Dodge/Jeep/RAM dealer (still) has a brand new 2016 Challenger Hellcat in Plum Crazy Purple. MRSP is 69,775 and they tacked on a +10K “dealer adjustment” presumably because of the color since there has been nothing added onto the car.

Maybe the bigger issue is “needing” a new car after 3 years, enough so that you purposely fudge the numbers (longer term or higher monthly payment) just to make it happen. Maybe forever ago when not all vehicles would survive much longer than 3 years (if that was ever the case)....but nowadays? I dont think there is…
