Friend of mine and I once drove a lot more than a mile with only reverse. I was the spotter he was the driver.

They couldn’t get him to leave FCA, so now we’re all dealing with the fallout: no more Fusion.
Life, uh, finds a way.
Sorry, I meant is it under the F or C?
Needs to be this version now:
I honestly thought those were plastic guards to be removed when the vehicle is given to its new owner.
Serious question - where does RAM fit in the “FCA” world?
Yeah I probably should have qualified....we never had a transmission DIE, they just started to slip somewhere along the line. I cant remember exactly how many miles we had on ours but it slipped for a while but never self destructed.
We had a family full of Taurus and Sables. IIRC they were all pretty decent until the 3.8L engine came along.
I had a 1989 Beretta GT with the Getrag 5 speed.
This.
The body control module on these vehicles are so tightly coupled and programmed that a few extra mah draw here and there will lock out a circuit.
I have 2017 RAM 1500, so it applies. Im not overly worried about it, but someone on the RAM forum said they are already scheduled to have it done. I guess the update is already in some dealers hands.
He is going to re-create the ending of Die Hard 2!
Was probably daddy’s car, presumably daddy is older than 18. Still wont stop entitled kids from “borrowing” it when no one is looking.
2 kids got killed driving through our local shopping mall parking lot. While it doesn’t help that its setup with a “main drag” around the whole perimeter of the thing, the kids were estimated going about 70 mph. The HIGHWAY speed limit around here is 55, so they were going even faster than that in a damn parking lot.
5th gen RAM 1500 getting a 48V “eTorque” system.....coincidence?
down by the river
The GT is not a “small” car.
It’s basically akin to driving without your seatbelt on, getting launched through a windshield during an accident, then suing the manufacturer because you chose not to wear your seatbelt.
