With the exception of the tail lights, it looks like a mini-TLX

This will be the one out of who knows how many O2 sensors that will never fail. Only the ones that require a contortionist to reach are the ones that fail

I live in CT and purchased my vehicle, brand new, at a dealer in VA (much better deal down there and the savings more than offset the one way train ticket)

How did you talk about Gas Monkey without mentioning beer assistants?

MH370

When we were in the market (May/June-ish), I found the TLX we wanted at the time. Emailed the dealer about it and they offered it to me for 700.00 under invoice (which came out to almost 4K less than window sticker) without even batting an eye.

Oddly enough our Acura salespeople were also the “least fun” during test drives. Lexus basically handed us the keys (they did have a sales guy go with us but he told us to drive and he would just keep his mouth shut). Acura wouldnt even let us drive it off their lot....THEY had to do it first, then pull over in a

They cant give the 2015s away. Over on the TLX forums someone mentioned as of yesterday there are still something like 13,000 available on dealer lots in the US.

I think the electronic VTEC (or eletronic variable valve timing systems in general) tend to has less of a feel when activated because they arent an “on-off” switch like mechanical VTEC. Kinda like they are always on at some small percentage.

I4 or V6?

Yeah. Our TL (non-S) managed to last 65K miles and almost 8 years before it died. Outside of the extended warranty time-wise, Honda covered 95% of the cost to have it replaced at our Acura dealer. Nice of them, but it would have been nicer had they solved the issue instead of praying and paying.

Or they underestimated VTEC kicking in.

As a former owner of a 2000 Accord and 2003 TL that both required new transmissions way too soon, I can attest that HondAcura is really good at slipping transmissions.

I was tightening the terminal bolts on my old Chevelle and was using too long of a ratchet handle. As I arced around to tighten the ground terminal the handle hit the positive terminal at the same time. Left a nice semi-welded-looking chunk in the handle.

Slap some Armor All on it and you’re good to go.

It’s Chevy Beretta :)

I know I would miss the sound and the smell too. As far as pack maintenance, I was referring to making sure cells are balanced, etc. Maybe its not required if you arent racing competitively, but a lot of what I read referred to making sure to get good cells, make sure they are charged/discharged at just the perfect

My first nitro powered RC truck was a Tmaxx. Im not sure if its ALL Traxxas stuff, but the Tmaxx was a POS. Broken parts left and right and I wasnt even hard on it.

Jalopniks would prefer an engine, no? I still have my nitro powered Savage and wouldnt consider changing it to brushless for anything. While engine maintenance is a PITA, battery pack maintenance and charging can be a PITA as well.
