It never fails to amaze me when people say stuff like that. My Mum is the best - apparently I'm wasting my time playing video games yet she goes fishing every other weekend. I'll stick to my sandboxes, puzzles, RPGs and platformers, you go try to outwit a fish (that you have to throw back in!) and let's not judge each

Well I definitely think for your first go you should set aside a few hours to really get into it, but it's not going to be for everyone.

They have. I keep looking in the wrong corner to see notifications and get confused. I really think you should give it a try. If it sucks you in it's easily going to be one of the best deals in terms of money spent vs hours played. My tip would be to set aside a few hours to really get into it though to start off.

Have you ever given it a go? I don't think the appeal best translates through word of mouth and such, but if you give it a shot you might get hooked.

To be fair, I love Minecraft but never try to explain it to someone who doesn't play. "You're just building shit and seeing if other things can come and knock it down" is pretty accurate and doesn't sound too appealing to an outsider. It's one of those "you have to be there" kind of games.

I love owning bizarre books and I'm gutted that these are all e-book only.

The father thinks you dig a hole with a hammer. That kid is fucked, and not because of video games.

Some people are just mental cases. I remember years ago an actor who played a wife beating rapist on Eastenders said in an interview that leaving his house was genuinely scary, because some people didn't separate him from his character.

I'm just glad people find long hair attractive. I've got long curly hair and it's a pain in the ass most days. I imagine that for every cuddle I get all they get is a load of hair in their face (same/worse for spooning), plus I'm worse than the fucking cat when it comes to finding hair around the house. Consider this

Well I like the AH LPs too, and I don't know if anyone is arguing that their LPs' game footage is their creative content. For me I like watching those guys because they are funny and also as someone who doesn't play multiplayer in anything it's a side to gaming that I don't see at all personally. I understand that

They are creating entertainment I think. I watch Achievement Hunter videos primarily, and I'd much prefer sticking one of those on while I'm doing the ironing to turning on the radio. I suppose you could argue that they aren't creating anything, like radio hosts and interviewers aren't, but I think I'd have to

Can anyone help me out with some advice? I'm after a new hard drive for my old Xbox 360 and I was wondering if I'd be better off getting another attachable drive or if I should go the USB route. Any links to cheap ones would be appreciated too (although I'm in the UK so most probably wouldn't be cheapest or that fast

Funnily enough I had that feeling when I got the first Bioshock for a tenner. It's one of those series that I will now happily pre-order and pay full price for.

You have made my afternoon. This is brilliant.

It wouldn't surprise me if at least a few people out there thought that GTA was a prostitute killing sim, it gets brought up that chuffing much.

I kind of see what you mean, but come on mate - it got released today. Give it a rest.

Very true. The idea that it's fine to broadcast this kind of information is stupid on many levels. That these people only got prank called (that we know) is essentially a good thing considering the circumstances.

Nope, and I certainly wouldn't put my phone number on somewhere like Twitter, particularly as a response to a celebrity with 868,550 followers. I don't live my life worried by being prank called. I live my life happy in the knowledge that I'm smart enough not to give my number out to potentially hundred of thousands

Maybe I'm being dim, but isn't that for landlines only? Off the top of my head I can only think of two people I know with home phones. Plus I don't know about the US but you can opt out of the phone book here.
