I never even knew this was a thing, and now I've seen 2 dupstep remixes of sims on here. This has made my day.

Yep. Just because you've managed to not die yet, doesn't mean you're particularly smart or that your opinions are more valid because you've spent longer at the "university of life".
I think it's fair to say that Charlie Brooker is a celebrity because he is a famous satirist. As opposed to the likes of Amy Childs, the Kardashians etc. who are celebrities because they are on TV. I'm sure it was on the Guardian (possibly even Brooker) where I saw the latter referred to as "slebs" - like when Closer…
Love it.
Yep - I got this video from my sister and I love the idea of a Playstation playing cat. Funnily enough she just uploaded a vid of him and Tim Minchin doing a "Prejudice" duet on Facebook and I think I'm warming to him a bit more - bless that ginger hobbit.
Haha I might just have to mention that to my sister next time I see her!
UK resident here. It seems to me that teenage girls who are too cool to like One Direction head over to Ed Sheeran, who sings very sweet songs usually (and plays guitar and writes his own stuff I think). My youngest sister is 14 and made this transition recently.
Oh God that made me laugh. My youngest sister is in her teens and I'm pretty sure he's something of a heartthrob over here.
I think it's alright too. I don't know if this is a direct response to the Conan throat impalement vid, but it helps to establish that bond between character and player. I'll be honest, I think it will be a struggle for me because I'm quite squeamish - but I can see how playing it out so brutally can make you so…
I think that's exactly it. It's the struggling that makes it horrible. I think that's why I always hated it when Lara drowned in previous games too - if it's a quick death that kills them off in a flash it doesn't seem so bad - it's the struggling against it that I find hard to watch. I suppose it's because that's…
Yep. I think it fell down for me purely because we as the audience are (mostly) aware of the references, and we know that politicians are now too. I suppose for it to work you have to place the story in an alternate universe where this hasn't happened to popular figures before, and not as a possible future in our…
At first I was in the haters camp, thinking that even with our bloodlust towards criminals like this, it just went too far to really say anything decent about it. Then I went on Facebook and saw the amount of people who were cheering for it, and thought that White Bear was a great idea, and how they wish it was a real…
I'm trying desperately to rationalise buying a print of it. For all the faults of the series, this is one of my all time favourite films and I feel I'm too much of a grown up to have my signed photos up anymore. But I could get away with having this in my flat and people would just think it was a nice design.
Looks like kitty plain ran out of fucks to give that day.
It's also sad that quite often glaring inaccuracies like this never get corrected on a big enough scale. Sure, this site (and others) will point out the facts, but the type of people who believe the bullshit will likely never hear or see it - usually because they don't really want to be informed; just have their own…
It's just the style they like I suppose. I don't know how you can "meh" over people who just prefer gothic dress and get weirdly hate filled if someone just prefers a 50s style - fuller skirts, hairstyles or whatever.
This is all the coverage I've read so far, and I was wondering if someone could explain the sharing bit to me.
"I find it interesting how most people seem to want the same (more diversity in media. better representation in media) and yet we can't get it done"
I've not finished it yet, but it's very very rare that I'll replay a game. I doubt I'll go back to it (this update probably won't be used by me), but I'm having so much fun with it now - so money well spent for me.
It's because she's from Essex. I put it in another comment, but I think it's likely that people will judge (and undermine) her intelligence based on her accent more than her looks. This is a snippet from TOWIE, which is like our Jersey Shore.
