Gus Johnson - “Rise and fire”

“Juuuuuuuust a bit outside. Tried the corner and missed”

OK thanks!

loony fringe assholes that cling to whatever cause best suits their needs

Mitch’s best dodging happens on the Senate floor every time he dodges his responsibility to his country and his constituents. This was not at worst a brisk walk away from some gentle ribbing.

HOT TAEK COMING

Intentionally or unforced error?

Rondo is statistically not much worse as a mid-range shooter than say George Hill. He has improved his 3pt shooting slightly of late, but his FT% is still garbage. If James develops a turnaround game in the post, something he’s not bad at already, then Rondo being ball dominant is not a problem.

Really makes you wondo how somebody could miss such an easy shot on goal from such a close distance.

History will not judge them kindly. Think about all the ring chasers we love to mock because they signed with a title contender or forced a trade to one: Wilt, Kareem, Drexler, Malone, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett. We even shame former players who almost left to form a super team (Jordan, Duncan).

Like the time he let the Lakers appear in 9 finals in 11 years? I thought that was saving basketball? Or the time he let the Bulls appear in 6 finals over 8 years (almost 7 despite not having one of the greatest players of all time)? Or the time he let the Lakers appear in 7 of 10 straight finals?

He is a smart player and his ability to catch the ball on a pick and roll and know whether to shoot or lob is definitely something many NBA players don’t have.

No good point

That has certainly been the recent trend with children of HOFs - see Jordan, Maravich, Ewing, David Robinson, Payton, Walton among others. There are really only three current players who have outplayed their parents: Curry , Thompson, and Booker (although his father Melvin is not well-known). Kobe would be the only

James Sr., who was a decorated basketball player, cheered on his son Bronny at the 2028 Olympics.

True. It’s a consequence of a behavior social psychologists have known about for a long time: BIRGing (Basking In Reflective Glory). Technically, BIRGing is when you treat the success of something you are associated with as your own. BIRGing is easier if your team has won “The Right WayTM” than if they acquired

He said he is a Chicago guy. Chicago fans HATE LeBron for 4 reasons

+1

I meant the fans. I don’t have any dislike towards the Cardinals baseball players, or the Spurs basketball players. But that billboard shows how low class Spurs fans are, and people generally like to pile on Cardinal fans. That’s the comparison I’m making.

That’s refreshing to hear. I know it’s dangerous to categorize all Warriors fans as herbs.
