@kujel: "I am far more interested in jumping than I am in arguing about whose trampoline is better. You rarely defend the things you love. You enjoy them and tell others about them and invite others to enjoy them with you."

@InsidiousTuna: There's a very funny joke to be made about Vaio laptops bursting into flames in response to my comment. I'll allow someone else to make it.

@kujel: Yeah, and I remember when my Playstation 2 burnt down my house and ran over my dog. Sony is TERRIBLE.

@bombastinator: He's been around for decades as the defining voice in film criticism and analysis.

@bombastinator: No, I'm pretty certain he's been an integral part of American cinematic history, and a national treasure.

I'm happy for him and that he's got a new show. The guy's a genius and a national treasure. God bless him.

Red Dead Redemption is the best game out this year. Nothing against ME2 and 2K11, which were both fantastic, but RDR is one of the best videogames I've ever played. The more I think back on it and catalogue my other favorite games, RDR just keeps moving up and up in the list. Beautiful, epic, expertly-crafted, moving,

I had a lot of fun with this game until it crashed, corrupted all of my saves, and nearly bricked my PS3. I'll have to go back to it some day. Some day far, far in the future.

Wolves are pretty smart animals.

Mass Effect 2 was an excellent game. But Red Dead Redemption is a classic. I can't give ME2 a trophy over RDR, as great as it is.

Brian, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on this video I captured of four of my friends and I joining a friendly CTF match and getting locked into fish-in-a-barrel spawns for the next ten minutes. We joined a game in progress, populated by 7 people: 6 guys on one team, and one guy on the other, featuring a

The single-player was a fun ride while it lasted. I was constantly impressed with cool setpieces (breaking out of prison, rainy Kowloon, WW2-era ship sequence, Russian Roulette, fighting from behind a gas mask... I could go on). But it was fun for one playthrough, since it was all new all the time until the game

Hmm. 'Featured Comments Only' on the beta site only shows one comment, while the regular site's Featured Comments Only functionality shows all stars and promoted comments.

This was my first time using the Gawker media beta site since Gawker first introduced it for the main site and Gizmodo last spring, and I like this version a whole lot more. Comment threads load and behave in weird fashions, but that should be ironed out eventually. I'm a big fan of the design change. The original

RDR is my game of the year. It's one of my favorite games of this hardware generation. It's in my top 5 videogames of all time.

@InsidiousTuna: Not that it didn't get consideration. More that it was considered and I just wanted more people to like it more than they did. Oh well.

Christ, 2K11 was a good game. I really want to go play it right now. It's a bummer that the other editors' replies essentially boiled down to "Yeah, it's a good basketball game, but... I don't really get a big kick out of basketball games." 2K11 is such an excellent, polished title that it deserves more consideration

Achievements are ultimately meaningless. Why bother getting upset about them? Sure, I love getting them, and have dumped a lot of time into item collection, but this isn't really something to get upset about.
