I'm not saying there's any moral equivalence. What I'm saying is violence and discrimination happens against homosexuals here and abroad. Is it better in the US? Absolutely, however when there is violence or absurdity in the US it's no less atrocious.

It comes down to interpretation, not everyone follows hadith or sharia law for that matter.
