Exactly. I'm writing this on my firesale touchpad right now. I have android on here atm and it works great and is silky smooth. The only reason I'm not using webos though is because of the app store. I miss the card multitasking so much.

How is the idea of putting a computer in every persons home inventing anything? That's just a business plan. I'll give you the operating system (partially), however, the 'computer mouse' was invented by Douglas Engelbart.

This is in response to Ayleron cause his comment is too short. Why would he get a 580 when the 7970 is much more powerful, has a much lower power draw, has much more vram, and is the same price? Unless the 580 price gets knocked down by a lot with this release that seems like a waste of money to me.

With this release there's going to be 3rd party cards almost right after initial launch so you shouldn't have any problems. Also with the new arch the power consumption is knocked wayy lower helping with heat right out of the box.

PCI 2 is nowhere near being used completely to the point it's a bottleneck yet.

This single card is nowhere near 150% more powerful. Single it's still behind the 6990, the 7990 will probably be 150 percent.
