I play - thanks to my wife who is borderline obsessed now that she’s retired - and I get that. I wouldn’t want to either. It IS loud. Much louder than tennis, or baseball or any other sport that might exist in a neighbourhood greenspace.

Seriously. Our HOA experimented with allowing it at our tennis courts and the people who live around them finally threatened to sue because it was so noisy. Like, there was a sustained noise level above the legal nuisance standard for 12+ hours a day. The HOA then banned it, and the pickleball nuts are all screaming…

Because its basically giant ping pong. Way more accessible to newcomers and people with diminished athleticism than tennis.

4 pickleball games can be played in a tennis court, the matches finish much faster than tennis, less strenuous, and a lot of areas are open play so pickleball allows for way way more people with diverse skill and physical abilities to participate in the same space.

What the fuck does the rail strike have to do with Trump rolling back regulations that would have prevented this disaster? Republicans and Trump are fully responsible for what happened in East Palestine.
