I shall do my best. Is that DeadPool as your icon BTW?

I like it because it actually talks about goodness, being good with out any possible reward or punishment. Doing good because it is right and good, not because you're scared of the consequences. You can get into the philosophy of morality but, for me, this sums up morality easily and with out strings.

Cheers to you sir/madam. I'm well in my cups anyhow, why stop now!

I came upon this in one of Kurt's books when I was high school(13 years ago) and it pretty much sums up my feelings on religion and morality.

IF you acknowledge Islam the terrorists win. (The Islamic ones).

Don't bother arguing with him. He sees black people and makes assumptions. It would hurt his poor (likely fat) head to actually consider the implications of a history of colonialism, the continued exploitations of natural resources and all that baggage.

My wife is harassed if she walks home. She feels too intimidated to often walk to the bus stop by herself. Hell, She gets harassed if I'm standing too far away from her at times or hop into a shop. I'm unsure what to tell her.

Well the money is still good. In most some of the mideast countries teaching will net you a nice salary. A friend of mine just did two years in Saudi, not the most fun and a lot of things to put up with but he came away with over 100k us in savings for those two years.

Ok, I know some people it will totally ruin their trip. Which is why I think it's an important element when planning a trip.I have a friend who left a great job in Egypt because she just couldn't handle the harassment. Enjoy the Tagine!

Have you been to Dubai? People are basically stuck there as laborers because their passports are gone, or their wages are taken, not paid or much lower than agreed upon. Dubai is a modern city but scratch the surface and you'll see what I mean about slave labor.

I've been to Morocco, theres the idea that westerns, especially blondes are prostitutes. Just be aware you're going to have to shrug off a healthy dose of street harrassment. If that kind of thing would ruin your trip, don't go.

The native population thrives on what is basically slave labor from impoverished SE Asians. I could care less if they are *shocked* by some bar shoulders and thighs.

Americans excel at a lot of things. It's just that I'm not particularly proud of the things we excel at.

I went to a wedding recently and a lot of the pastors speech seemed to be along the theme of that picture. I was pretty shocked it was so overt in the "Do what yo man says" area.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It was hard to get really enjoy the piece when there was that "high school" mentality pervading the whole of it. I teach high school kids and this reminded me of the many writings I've seen over the years from kids who aren't that popular but want to assure themselves they are

I actually know several soldiers who split with their wives and never divorced. The reason being is that you get a lot more benefits from the military. Generally the wives I know go a long with the situation for a bit of the extra money.

I'm kind of confused how he can be brought up on three charges of predatory sexual assault but assaulted one woman. I should note I understand nothing about how legal proccedings like this work.

I'd be interested to know about how the Supreme Court interpreted and how it broke down amongst the judges.

Can some one tell me how the systematic harassment of a private citizen is legal in this way? Can the dude get a restraining order on a group?

All the money they spent on this could have been used for christian charity. Not that they didn't spend tons of cash.
