Shout out to the Boss 302 Mustang having it back in 1969!

This is number 1, over and over again.

I’ve always said and will continue to say that any winter tire comparison where the control is a summer tire can and ought to be discarded. The only people that drive summers in the snow are first time sun belt transplants, people who got caught off guard before they could switch to their winter tires/cars and morons.

Sweet a truck with a bed just big enough to hold my protein supplements and gallon jug of water!

AvE isn’t extremely good either. difference is that he knows it, and will admit it, in the process learning how to further his own knowledge.

Good point on EPA test weight class.

And I agree that ride height and other aero-related changes MUST have been factors in yielding such a high delta.

What’s going to replace the car size neighborhood trucks?

Zanardi is the best... I’m really looking forward to seeing him at Daytona. BMW deserve some credit here, too — what a cool program.

Next time someone asks “what’s the point of motor racing,” this is a good answer. The R&D that’s poured into these cars really can make a difference on the street.

Not just an Olympian but a multiple-gold medalist.

I love Zanardi, but we might be burying the lede here.

Alex Zanardi: loses both legs in a wreck; aggressively and successfully rejoins sport which took his legs (and oh yeah becomes an Olympian).
Me: says “you too” when McDonalds drive thru employee says “enjoy your meal,” never returns to McDonalds.

It’s okay. It happens to most of us. I was a pure sportbike guy until 3 yrs ago. Then all my injuries caught up, my kids changed my risk assesment parameters, the right deal came along, and here I am enjoying my Harley.

Where’s the sponcon hashtag?

I’m 40 and have had several HDs since I was 30. No problems except for a used one I bought that the previous owner neglected. Even then it was a minor repair. I’ve been riding since I was a kid, and even the several Hondas I owned had the occasional repair. No machine is perfect, and in my experience, modern Harleys

Yep - A reliable bike that fills its user’s needs without yearly or bi-annual upgrades to the latest and greatest is indeed a problem.

Have you ever owned one? Haha.

Harley is the number one seller to African-Americans, Hispanics, women, etc. They lead in nearly every demo, including 18-35.

Actually, the twin balancers work to a fault in the Softails: traditional riders won’t find them lumpy enough.

Still holding out for this baby. One day.
