There are ways around heat loss that are possible with a clever design. And I suspect that the "-40" doesn't stand for "dash forty" so they've probably got some serious tech built into that $1,000 snow coffin :3

Take a look at a Sub-Zero fridge and you will see where Samsung is going to fail. Every fridge helps preserves food, Sub-Zero fridges preserve food longer. Sacrificing everything else for that singular goal. Samsung can keep their jack of all trades, I'll keep my master of one.

I would say that injecting a second chemical into your system could dissolve the foam, but polyurethanes are generally difficult to dissolve. Albeit this is a "we have two minutes to keep you from dying" solution, and would give a lease on life that a soldier would otherwise not have. A duct-tape fix, if you will.
