I smiled quite painfully when I realized they were using Royksopp's "Royksopp Forever" as the background track for this video. :D

It was the story that did me in — it touched on so many tried-and-true themes but didn't seem to really STICK to anything resonant. Sure, it might have focused for a bit on how Hope was "becoming an adult," but was it ever really *convincing*? And while there might have been a few *hints* of genuine attraction

@Wayne Ripley: Until the robot uprising, you mean. Unless your proxy happens to bypass self-aware network hubs by using an ingenious sentience-filter.

@SlimDan22: And while I may be deign to poke a tiger in the eye...you may want to spellcheck your English paper again. Y'know, for proper use of "their" and "I'm."

And when it happens, I'll point to Dan Simmons' "Iliad" and say, "Darn it all, he told us so!"

@Alchemistmerlin: I approve of the father, but not the torture. I think it's alright to be protective, but violence begets violence.

@TTownTerrorist: Just have a nice chat with him, y'know? A little Chris Hansen never hurt anyone.

@Kingteddybear: I'm still not sure if it's a twisted sense of chivalry or not, but I agree.

@hahnchen: "If you play that track to other people at a a party, you're in jail[,] buddy."

It looks like a tank. A big, uncomfortable, heavy metal tank that's more likely to assault you with carpal tunnel syndrome than aid you in that latest dungeon raid.

@corpore-metal: I think our efforts to colonize the stars are more immediately hampered by a nonexistent space program.

@FrankN.Stein: Sounds right. "Torappuda" sounds like it'd be in Katakana, though whether that's correct or not is beyond my meager learnings of the Japanese language. :)

@locomodo: ...yeah, I'm using Genelecs and soffit-mounted Dynaudios. I use the NS-10Ms when I need to feel crappy, and MixCubes when I want to die on the inside.

Too bad the NS-10s you see nowadays aren't the vintage speakers. But I'll definitely back up the whole "every studio has a pair" statement; I have yet to set foot in a studio (post-production or otherwise) where NS-10s weren't in the closet if not on top of the desk.

The model 1.7s make me think of the Monolith. I don't think I could live in the same house as a pair of those. :|

I laugh. Not because it's funny, but because it MIGHT JUST WORK. I wouldn't pay to see it, but we already have something akin to this on late-night G4 TV, don't we?

I wouldn't mind the whole HDD drive thing if I wasn't forced to pay for 250GB. I had a first-gen 360 for four years, complete with it's original 20GB HDD. I never once filled it to capacity, nor did I ever feel the need to buy additional storage space.

@Ike_Skelton: And the world just kept on a'turnin'... :)

@Wozamil: I see what you did there.

@Cupajo: Kid, I might as well be. /hubris
