Read the book. And I’d rather be an ‘idiot’ than an apologist.
Here’s some context that people forget or don’t know in regard to the Polanski petitions.
Teddy is probably so sad that Linda will be out of town for work now
I think you’re tired and maybe misunderstood Sailor V’s comment- You both think Natalie is saying the same thing. Whereas you might be more sympathetic towards Natalie, Sailor V isn’t having it.
I remember when that petition was making the rounds. I did something completely crazy at the time - because I didn’t know the exact details of the case - I actually READ both Polanski’s confession and the victim’s statement before expressing an opinion. Nuts, right? I mean who has 10 minutes to spare?
Is anyone surprised that Natalie Portman supported Polanski in the past? She’s always come across as condescending and hypocritical.
The kids are not all right. The kids are fucking traumatized. The kids know that the adults lie and lie and lie, and they are about to become adults themselves... they are about to become fully aware of how easy is it to defer responsibility to the generation coming behind them, to the politicians, to the future, to…
Hey, Trump is the President of the United States. I’m fairly certain he knows how the top law enforcement agency in his nation works better than some random internet commentator. Especially considering how much time he has recently spent talking to and about them.
Yes the leash issue gets me constantly. I love dogs, but regularly when I’m walking with my young kid at the park or beach some dog or dogs will spot us and start charging at us full bore. I have to dive in front to try and intercept since I don’t know what they’re going to do. And then without fail comes the “oh…
Those are all American-owned outlets.
“It’s so exhausting to hear Americans go on about this, again”
Oh I’m SO SORRY we have exasperated you.
Gee, so you go on sites invented by Americans and based in America and get pissed at the American content? What a shock!
>I cannot go on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, any news site, TV >channels, Jez, etc. etc. without being confronted with American media >and American news. It’s inescapable.
Hot take. Just go somewhere else, your viewpoint isn’t helpful.
So the people who are horrified and trying to do something about it are supposed to...just pretend it’s not happening until the country as a whole magically reaches a consensus? That doesn’t sound like a solution.
I’m hoping you didn’t mean it to stigmatize, but on behalf of those of us who do have mental health needs and actively work to care for them and medicate daily, we’re not all trying to grab an AR15.
