Doesn’t Michelle Rodríguez have a history of saying cringey things like this, tho?

My mom knitted at home for extra income in Canada when I was a kid. She once got an offer from some people to knit for them, but had to turn them down because she wouldn’t have made as much as she was making on her own.

I’m going to hazard a guess that “no families for newborns” is likely related to people being unwilling or unable to handle kids with alcohol or drug affect disabilities. That’s my area of expertise, although I’m just a respite worker. Kids like that, in a perfect system, would go into foster homes specifically…

How weird. 

It’s all money. Invest in health care, social assistance, infrastructure, education, services, and so many other things, and save billions in the long run. But then how would we fill up jails? 

I can’t tell you the stats, but usually kids in my agency waiting to be placed are temporarily placed in foster homes specifically designated as temporary placements, “shelters”(basically group homes), or wherever they have room. 

I’ve been hearing these allegations since X-Men, but they’ve ramped up in the past year. I’m surprised he’s still getting work. 

Oh my GOD. I don’t even want to try to explain to you how stupid this is. 

Well, that’s abuse. 

I work with foster parents and foster kids. For the most part, especially in the case of permanent ward foster parents, they are pretty much the kids’ parents. The social workers do have a great deal of say, but the foster parents are the day to day caregivers, and they’re a mixed bag, good and bad.

 Neat.

I’ve known about R Kelly since I was fifteen and I’m 34 now. And I was a pretty sheltered kid, I got my info from my sister. 

They weren’t legally married, AFAIK.

Which institutions are those? I only know of the kids hospital that gets Peter Pan royalties. 

The Barbie franchise had supposedly planned for a sleeping beauty movie, but it never got off the ground for fear of the mouse.
