To me it was the opposite, one of the games that came with my Ps1 was Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and it soon became one my favorite games, when FF Tactics launched I enjoyed but I couldn’t get into in the same way. The point is to have fun, the multiplayer is fun, the problem with this game is how much grind (or money) you have to do to get weapons that allow you to compete on the same level on others, meaning that for the first 100 hours the multiplayer is not going to be much fun because you are going to play on a uneven field

I would go with the prettier and cheaper version, if you have anyone to play with you it’s important to remember that the WiiU version has co-op while the 3DS is single player only.
