Best blood remover: peroxide. Just the cheap household variety. Pour it into a paper bathroom cup and dunk the part of the garment that has blood on it. Leave it in there for a bit; rinse & repeat if necessary.

I realized once that September and December are "same" months; meaning, if the 25th of September is a Sunday, as it is this year, then the 25th of December will be also. This is useful because in September or October, you often start planning events in December. Less useful are April & July, March & November. In

I have a friend who does this with their neighbor. They've been splitting the cost of cable internet for years.

Keep in mind, there are services that inform people that others are searching for them. It not only tells them that someone is searching, it can tell them WHO is searching, so cover your tracks. I know this because a friend of mine subscribed to the service because she was being stalked.

Personally, if I have to get up and leave my desk to get something to perform a task, I'm more likely to put it off. Not because I'm lazy, but because when I get up and walk two steps away from my desk, I immediately forget what I got up for.

How about chocolate mousse with mini chocolate chips? Or chocolate shavings on top? Might be less likely to make the cookie soggy.

Why wouldn't it be safe, as long as it wasn't microwaved? If it's safe for milk, and you wash it well, why couldn't you safely put a sandwich in it? Not asking to be critical, just trying to follow your reasoning.

Just a comment from a long-time soapmaker. Fight Club got a lot wrong about making soap. Yes, lye will burn your skin right off. The problem is, it doesn't hurt. Why is that a problem? Because while it's burning holes in your skin, you don't even realize it. I once burned a hole in my finger 1/8" deep without

I am about to turn off Chrome's autofill. Every time I check an address on the USPS site, it remembers the address I am checking. There's no setting for "only remember one address: mine."

Watching this video reminds me of a question I've wanted to ask for a long time. Is there any way to speed up online videos so you can still see everything, just more quickly? Some instructional videos would definitely benefit from this.

Nice! I use my ex-husband's wall-mounted tie rack for necklaces, but your idea is more expandable.

I'm a huge fan of Bavarian in a can. It's sweet and sour. I could just eat that right out of the can cold. Now if I could make THAT... oh yummmm.

Why? Because airlines treat passengers like animals, that's why. The flight doesn't leave, or it doesn't board on time, and you sit and wait and just wonder what the heck is going on. They don't have the courtesy or sense to announce that there is a delay or why, or when they think it will board or leave. And

Two words: Bread Buddy. For some reason, it keeps the bread much fresher. Doesn't let the loaf get smushed on the counter either.

Whoa... someone missed his anger management class last night.

Would you have to use a (porous) clay pot for this to work?

The toilet reservoir is the clean water. People have used the clean toilet tank water to cool beer for years. My parents even did this.

I learned many years ago how to sleep even when I wasn't that tired: white noise and progressive relaxation. ([www.umm.edu] Progressive relaxation enabled me to sleep from 6-10 pm in a noisy dorm before I went to work as a night watchman in that dorm. It also quiets the racing thoughts.

It IS a great idea. The key, in my opinion, is to keep them all in one spot. It's too easy to buy things and lose track of them. Unfortunately, I do that with cards too. Buy them for someone in advance and then forget that I even have them. Another thing to do is to keep your eyes open all year for deals on presents
