And despite your corporate overlords telling you to stick to sports, I hope Deadspin never does because
and I can’t emphasize this enough
I come to Deadspin BECAUSE YOU DON’T JUST STICK TO SPORTS

Keeper had something riding on this match...
“The chair is lower” was pure fire.
I’d like to say this makes the Rickett’s family look bad, but I’ve been part of way too many family group chats that spiral quickly into a bunch of “fuck you!” messages going back and forth.
Setup:
If you look in the lower left quadrant of the “outside wrigley” shot immediately following “the slide” (as I’m sure it is being called), there’s a pretty great imitation by the dad in the red shirt. Props to him for immediately recognizing greatness. Also. Baseball!
Honestly, I feel bad for this girl and everyone else who wrecks themselves with needless and avoidable interactions with police because of a little recreational boozing gone awry. A couple of lame swipes or shin kicks and she’s looking at felonies. At the very least, she’s probably getting kicked out of school. But,…
Maybe it’s just because of the school I went to, but...is it really news that a college student drank too much and was arrested at a football game? Isn’t this a fairly normal thing to occur when you’re gathering 10,000 students in one place after a full day of pre-gaming?
Eesh... this isn’t pretty and I’m not defending her actions, but I’m sure glad there weren’t: 1) cell phone cameras when I was in college 2) people happy enough to record my idiocy and 3) adults who think it awesome to humiliate a 20 year old publicly.
“It was very convenient for a detective as accomplished and thorough as Box to wait until the season finale to stumble upon such an easily discoverable piece of evidence!”
Yes, I was awaiting at least an approach to this topic as well. But a simple answer would be “stripped downstairs, showered after murder, cleaned shower, redressed.” We only saw snippets of the defense, so we can assume some of this was covered, but still...
I’m not sure I agree with the idea that Chandra has previously been portrayed as competent. She had been portrayed and young and in over her head. Her first big character beat was advising Naz not to take the plea offer, even though they had him dead to rights at that point and the two more experienced defense…
The most glaring error in this show as far as I’m concerned is that Andrea was found in a blood-soaked heap on her bed, with splatters going up the wall... and yet Naz woke up downstairs with only a very small amount of blood on him (from Andrea’s hand wound).
Box counterpoint: Cops and prosecutors not pursuing any other directions because they convince themselves the first answer is the right one is completely realistic.
i think the night of is extremely accurate. dumb choices are like 95% why people go to jail. and 95% of non-jailed people make dumb choices constantly, theyre just not in jail. example: everyone forever everywhere. i dont know how we are all still alive
forever and always.
NOTE THE IRONY OF A CAT-PARASITE-INFESTED TOXOPLASMA ZOMBIE REFERRING TO A BOLD TRUTH-TELLER AS A “SHITHEAD”
This is really unnecessary.
How about "Redskins?"
