My grandpa gave me some very useful advice: “Never chase a woman or a bus. You look stupid doing it and there is always another one coming.”

No. It’s just a coping mechanism. Rejection hurts more and more when you’re on a streak.

I disagree

If you get rejected, carry on and be just as friendly, funny and good natured as you would be if she said yes. Joke about it and change the subject.

I don’t think it looks bad from any angle. He doesn’t take steps, he doesn’t leave his feet, and he stays planted in the play directly after making the hit. This isn’t even borderline for me, this is clean through and through.

And that is why you got fired, Mr. Oates.

I’ve played goalie for 27 years, Ovie is the kinda shooter I check under my bed for at night there is just no reason that shot should be moving like that he barely moved his fucking arms!

You clearly haven’t watched him play this season.

In what universe is that a charge? He does not leave his feet and he’s gliding into the hit.

Am I the only one that sees that as he didn’t even really touch him, and Rangers dude pretends to be hurt after he realized he lost the puck? Tough to see in this shot, but I think everything supports it being a good no-call.

As a Capitals fan, I wholeheartedly agree with your concern. If I never saw that commercial again it would be too soon. (See also: Duluth Trading Company)

Here’s that opposite angle (I can’t find better video of it).

This is the best and most logical take.

Look, I hate Boyle. But come on—that’s a play that’s made hundreds of times a season, and no one bats an eyelash. Guys tie it up for a couple seconds, the period ends, and no one bats an eyelash. You’re just being a hindsight 20/20 guy. Also, look at the gif: There’s an uncovered Caps player right in front of Hank. If

Fuck Backstrom and his constantly-playing GEICO commercial. I hope he gets in a fender bender with an uninsured motorist!

The refs swallowed their whistles for both teams the whole game; the Rangers should not have expected them to start calling stuff in the last minute of regulation.

Yeah LOL at that being a clear penalty, and I’m a Rangers fan. Dan Boyle crapped the bed on this play, period. He easily could have moved the puck behind his net and burned off the 4 seconds remaining. His decision to try to tie the puck up along the boards instead was inane.

I think that if you show the hit from the opposite angle it looks much cleaner.

I add a modifier. do those ALONE. not with friends or with a group. Alone to focus on each other and not others.

Yes it is. That’s why Samer did that in his very first sentence!
