It’s like Natasha Lyonne had a baby with Liza Minelli and the result wasn’t the gayest child that ever lived but someone who had a mostly-lingerie bit-part in a great movie four years ago and who the media keep interviewing for some reason.

I sincerely believe that anything she chooses to “remember” in said memoir will be a lie. She’s an idiot.

Ugh thanks.

I think she’s an absolutely terrible person on nearly every level; I also think Live Through This is a phenomenal album. I fully understand it if her personal behavior taints her music, so I don’t condemn anyone for that, but I just...separate them in my mind, I guess.

Yup. CL is obviously very smart and certainly good at a grift, but she sucks for so many reasons (and I’m not a “Kurt was murdered” truther). I’m squarely in her demographic as a Gen X’r but it’s Never Courtney for me.

Her unsupportive treatment of the riot grrl scene which at the time was as feminist as you could be

Welcome to the fucking club.

Just awful. He was a huge talent and made everything he was in better. I’ve been re-watching Fringe lately and it wouldn’t have been the show it was without him. He was such a pro and it showed.  This is hard news.

I agree with everything she says about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but I’m not sure she is the right messenger to deliver this message

Tana Mongeau stated that the media personality “paved the way for me. A girl like me who is literally famous for nothing — Paris Hilton taught us how to make that a business, you know what I mean?”

I had the profound (mis)fortune of knowing Courtney for 40 years. In the early 80's, she burned thru the entire city of SF, ripping off everyone I know, myself included. She’s always been a horrible person. How anyone looks at her with any respect at all befuddles me.

The footage of her at her height telling a french journalist that riot grrll isnt a real thing and made up by the american media still stands, as “smart” as she comes across its always self serving

Counterpoint: Paris IS dumb, and while she might know how to tell the stories her moronic fans want to hear, she doesn’t know how to WRITE anything. She, like most celebrities who write a memoir, had a ghostwriter. Her contribution to this book was probably just speaking into a recorder for 8-10 days. I fully believe

girl, fuck fitting in.

They can’t prove whose vomit it was.

If only he had just peacefully exploded, like the drummers in Spinal Tap

It’s well known by now that Rita Coolidge wrote the piano part that he claimed credit for on Layla.

Preferably with a rusty blunt blade.

It would be interesting to hear every single person who ever paid him one thin cent explain why they shouldn’t be, as well.

In a dirty basement, with dull rusty tools.
