I don’t really understand the author’s world building criticism either. One of the attractions of this series is “Robot Dinosaurs” so it makes total sense that a huge part of the game is discovering “Why robot dinosaurs.”

I think what makes it an even weirder criticism for this game is that it was clear in Horizon Zero Dawn that they were looking at as a game series and instead of cramming all those answers instantly there, they were building those hints with the sense that the answers would be coming. There’s a lot of stuff in HZD…
To me it’d be a bit like reading “but the problem with this Call of Duty is that it’s too bombastic” or “the problem with this Halo entry is the frequent use of chanting in the score”.
“It’s not solely a problem with Horizon Forbidden West, nor is it a problem limited to video games. You see it across popular genre fiction these days, as everything from Star Wars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe doubles down on plot over people, going so far as to fill in backstories for enigmatic characters who…
Plus lots of cheap hydropowered electricity. So it's cheaper to run an electric car.
Also, Quebec has some of the best incentives nationwide (or, you know, any incentives, unlike a bunch of other provinces), and almost half of the country’s charging infrastructure (about 2900 stations out of 6200, based on government stats from a few months ago).
Subaru went all in on the CVT. Their modern cars are all saddled with it. I honestly did not know this until I was on a test drive and the transmission was absolute garbage.
In case you don’t want to watch the video:
Not to be cruel, I love her as an actress....but “I can’t figure what’s going on” has sort of been the working description of Nicole Kidman’s face for the past decade or so.
I don’t think the accents were the problem, it was that neither remotely resemble Lucy or Desi.
At gunpoint?
How’d this thing get made? It seems like no one wanted to do it.
Actual Answer: The expensive ones are former (or active) therapists, typically with an armload of sex specialization.
The Truth: It’s an absurdly incestuous kind of role, and media orgs are increasingly chasing the kinds of people with book deals instead of the people with active, successful practices.
Starting with a “Get the author to actually finish the damn books” coordinator
a Dothraki slap fight without at least three ER visits is considered a dull affair
Yeah, I think intimacy coordinators are a wonderful role that should be the gold standard going forward, but this article had a bad faith approach in its portrayal of GOT as “ignoring” hiring one. The position essentially didn’t exist during filming of the show until maybe the last season, at which point it didn’t…
A lot of this was pre-Intimacy coordinators, who really showed up around 2017-2018 (actress Emily Meade played an important role in getting HBO to adopt them for productions). Good reminder of the bad old days.
Well, it seems like their careers are over now.
It takes some guts to see Jason Momoa nude and decide making fun of him is the correct course of action. No smarts, but lots of guts.
I mean, the show needed an everything coordinator, really.
