I dont agree with this at all. Apu is just as fleshed out as the other side characters and has had a ton of episodes dedicated just to him. Locking on is completely unnesacary for fights, and in fact, hinders them as its harder to dodge behind them when fighting.  I used it for the first bit, but after a few hours, havent used it again.  Ive got about 80 hours in it, and the fighting is far better without the lock on.
