My hope for FF at this point is for the rights to revert to Marvel and then have Marvel reintroduce them in phase 4 (HA!) as supporting characters in some other arc. A cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 without an origin story.

FWIW Chronicle is more about the onset of sociopathic behavior in an otherwise average teenager than about superpowers. You can (and should) still watch it but the core theme is different than it has been touted.

What I don’t understand is that after now 3 films (4 if you count 1994) and limited (at best) commercial and critical success across the board, why the rights’ holders don’t just let the rights revert back to Marvel.

X-Men makes Fox more than enough money. They should drop the 4 and then maybe Marvel can do something…
