BUT IT JUST FEELS LIKE GAEMZ!!!

Fair enough. I suppose if you have the time to hang out on tumblr, you have the time to read feminist books.

Y'know, for many people not going to College is not a deliberate choice they make. I really hope you didn't mean to imply that feminism is only for college-educated people who have read whatever you consider essential feminist reading.

Interestingly, all the Gawker sites are rated "impossible".

I'm hoping that something similar to what you and your mom have will be the outcome of the constant debates between me and my siblings.

See, but there you go calling them crazy, even you who in the OP pleaded for a more understanding approach to confronting religious people with secular realities. See how hard it is in practice? Because they certainly don't see themselves as crazy.

It can be so hard though! All of my many siblings are religious, but two of them are taking-the-bible-literally religious.

High-speed trains generally run on a so-called "ballastless track", which generally means the rails are fastened to a continuous concrete surface (and not with spikes either). This not only greatly reduces the risk for track failure, but also prevents track ballast from being thrown by the turbulence of trains passing

Well, an intercooler is not a necessity and many early turbo cars don't have intercoolers. It just puts a big limitation on the pressure you can run without overheating, so equipping an intercooler is generally inferred to also boost output because it means more turbo pressure can be used safely.

It made for a wierd schism - where the Japanese cars proudly wore Turbo, DOHC, 16v badges, Camaros were all "TUNED PORT INJECTION". Well, that's nice I guess.

The Japanese used to be the top dogs at this game. Because how else would people know you bought the sporty version with 16v DOHC Turbo Intercooler?

All ready to race down some unlikely scenic road that loops back on itself!

I don't think this is a necessity, but it certainly helps. It is generally advisable to be Jean Paul Belmondo.

I think even back in the 80s when they were big stars and on MTV they were always sort of pegged as a band for the "weird kids", the nerds and losers - which maybe isn't surprising seeing how many of their songs are hymns to the outcasts enduring despite it all, and how society treats those who differ with contempt.

You're a definite minority then. IMO the Fedora is kind of overplayed though. The true classic is the Borsalino (feel free to disagree).

Sadly, I think io9 can still call itself one of the more progressive gawker sites with some right. At the very least, for every stupid male supremacist comment there's a reasonable person arguing against it (and they don't all come from Jezebel, srs).

I'm sorry but...

I agree, the eradication of all living beings by unspeakable transdimensional horrors is certainly no laughing matter ;)
