I think one of the biggest failures of the justice system is that it takes so long for a verdict to be reached, if at all, that whatever punishment is decided upon can no longer be a gratification to the victim.

It's not like Mad Men, though, where you wait and wait for it to become awesome and it never happens, is it?

I've been raised in the South, and while my parents were by no means fundies or even especially conservative, there always was this unspoken rule that people had to be superficially nice to each other, and that included not saying things that other people might not like to hear.

I HATE BBT so if it's the antithesis of that show that's promising. I never liked Community, though. It's just so... random.

I live not so far away from where they make this show, and here's the thing: joyful, impoverished Southerners are usually only joyful as long as nothing happens that makes being impoverished an unsurmountable barrier to happiness.

So everyone keeps saying... but I got stuff to do, y'know? And no way I'm interrupting "Lost Girl". Maybe after that.

Let's hope they don't go down the same road like so many other Southern icons, i.e. turn into bitter caricatures of themselves after some sort of tragedy. (I'm looking at you, Lynyrd Skynyrd, you pandering, racist corpse of a rock band.)

At some point, I know I will get around to watching this show. All my friends love it and I trust their judgment. It's just that there are way too many shows I'm trying to keep up with already!

What is it with people claiming christian beliefs are what made their business successful? How does that relate in any way to business success? Because it would seem in today's economy, it takes some rather un-christian moves to be successful.

So she's a bad driver. Like the vast majority of her fellow citizens.

I've watched so many horror movies in my youth the only movies that still make me genuinely scared is icky/rapey stuff I don't want to see. People are always like "you gotta see this movie, you'll be scared shitless" and mostly I just think "movie X did it better".

Like most dresses, I feel that these are totally beautiful clothes - on other people.
