Wrong.

The Tokyo Big Sight. It’s the building pictured in the article above. And it’s explained in the article.

Well, in the Minecraft community there are several modders who have very large youtube channels that make quite a sum of money each month. Soaryn is one that comes to mind. Pahimar too. A few have even gotten fairly good jobs.

Every current Bethesda developer

The guy who made Rimworld started out modding.

May I give myself as an example? I got hired as a lead game designer partly due to the work I have done as a modder and a content creator.

Ill give you an example of teams. Desert Conflict mod BF1942- gets hired for BF2. BF2 mod Project Reality - team moves on to make Squad. I should have just stuck with them instead of going to college and abandoning them. Used to be a moderator for them, as well as trying to make models for the community factions -

My friend James started in team making HalfLife-based mods. Got a full-time job with a major firm off the back of that. This was the late ‘90s.

Like half of all Valve games were originally mods, which Valve then bought out and brought the devs in house.

Adam Foster got hired at Valve after Minerva: Metastasis. Alexander J. Velicky got hired at Bungie after making Falskaar. Christian Whitehead got Sonic CD working on his iPhone before Sega hired him to do ports. He’s now working on Sonic Mania.

Yeah, too bad they never swing the camera around. Or pan out.

Yeah... but can it beat a Coffee Table Book about Coffee Tables!

Dear Sega: Just subtitle it and put it on the PSN. We don't even need you to press discs. Just make the game available, somehow, for fans to buy it and enjoy it.

I'm guessing it's that horrible feeling when seaweed brushes against your feet and for a moment you think it's a swarm of piranhas. Off the coast of Devon. Don't judge me.
