I’m with you. Fighting games really are a good match for actual combat, in terms of the split-second pacing (though the HP pools are sometimes a little off). For me, the thing missing from fighting games is the larger depth of systems. They do combat, and they do it very well! But that’s all they do.

Obliterating history and perpetuating ignorance in the name of ‘freedom’ is a tool often used by those who lean far right in order to enforce their authoritarian agendas and empower their control of the state.
