I'd pay $5 just to WATCH someone play this game.

Funny story: these are actually all from the same movie.

I think I built this house in The Sims.

I disagree with #9

Well said. Very very well said.

Have you named this fetish?

I've trained and worked directly with Mr. Clements, and your answers are as follows:

I've worked with Mr. Clements on exactly this topic, and your last assumption is generally correct: they fall on deaf ears.

I'm a student of John's in the Atlanta area. He's a really great guy... VERY passionate about the art! He has a metric-ton of energy, too. An inspiring amount, in fact. When he executes a technique, he makes you feel it, and you feel like a better fighter for it.

I'm not trying to provoke you, friend. Clearly you're getting defensive about this. Let me clarify the above: if you're learning a new technique, or warming up, of course you go slow. Everyone, no matter the art, needs to teach their muscles how to move before they can execute with skill. However, just like boxers

How it goes depends entirely on how they trained. If they practiced sparring on a regular basis, using realistic energy, like the kind you see in MMA matches, then I imagine they'd fair well.

I love women.

You fight like you train. If you train without impact, and without aggression and audacity, then you will fight that way... and the moment you encounter someone who does, you'll find that your training was insufficient.

He's selling it as a realistic sword-fighting sim. So it should be judged as such, especially if he's going to ask for people's money, and then propose that they also need to buy some unspecified hardware (the motion controller) to play.

Yeah. I'm talking about fighting with swords, which is what Neal is pitching. In technical parlance, it's known as "fühlen" (or feeling).

Interesting idea. But there's a problem with this. No feedback = no realism. Plain and simple. Real fighting is all about contact and feeling the strong vs. the weak. That 'clang' sound that inspired the name of the project? I don't see a path for him to achieve that.

I'm so PISSED right now.

My wife is a lizard. That is all.

Underworld: Argonian

There's also a group here in the Atlanta area, we meet every Sunday. The director of ARMA is also in the the Atlanta area. He's a really fun, but practical, teacher of the art.
