Sir, it comes in Zeus Bronze Metallic, which is fancy brown:

This old millennial isn’t going to be able to sleep tonight. It feels like waiting for Santa. I am WAY too excited.

0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds. 60K starting price for the base model.

Oh Jalopnik.  You’re going to have to come up with some pretty good ideas on how folks should hate this car.   Good luck.

Great article, great reveal. I like it. I stayed up too late. This old boomer is going to bed.

Under $60k. For a DCT, a NA V8, and 0-60 in under 3 secs..? That’s pretty great.

Starting price at less than $60k.... Consider the game changed.

Well, doesn’t that look pretty damn good.

^^^^ this. The LT series is one of the all-time great engines. It’s even fuel efficient. Cadillac is just stupid to not use it in its sedans

Cadillac should have just given us the Escala.

It’s such a shame Cadillac allowed the CT5 design to be influenced by some of the current trends in the industry. Especially that C pillar treatment feels very out of place on a Cadillac. I know I keep going back to this, but in my mind if you want to set “the standard”, you don’t copy the trends, you set them.

I would be interested to try it, a big displacement turbo 4 with gobs of torque which I like, and it makes sense to keep from stepping on the toes of its bigger V6 cousin. As it apparently moves a Silverado fine I would think it could move a small sedan quite well.

Because according to literally everyone I talked to, including current Versa owners and people who sell used Versas as part of their job, there are no good used Versas. Admittedly, ten people isn’t a huge sample size, but on a personal level, it’s a rather damning one.

As for the second part of your question: Mileage

An FCA merger of Renault wouldn’t change the capital structure of the alliance, except to prevent Nissan from trying to assume control through advocating an outside buyout of Renault. A buyout of Renault was largely off the table because the French government would never sell their stake to an investor who would favor

Tbh, a lot of that rotting happened under the tutelage of Mr Ghosn, who obviously valued sales volume over individual vehicle profitability and excellence. His business tactics were quite similar to GM of the 80s and 90s and Mr Peïch’s VW of the 00-10s. Right or wrong, he shaped the alliance to his means and methods

Subprime buyers and rental car companies.

Nissan should shutup and eat its humble pie. Their brand has rotted to absolute shit over the past 15 years and they have released nothing of any consequence other than a steady churn out of the automotive equivalent of gruel. Sure, technically they build “automobiles” and “provides some degree of transportation” but

There’s no real reason for either of them to do that. They compete in the same market segments, in the same market. Other than Honda/Toyota’s slightly weaker European presences, they have not a thing to gain from Nissan.

And you would have to walk out after buying one because it’d already be broken!

Yes, but that was more to do with Saturn’s perception than the vehicles themselves.

I called Second Gear yesterday: Fiat Nissan Chrysler Renault and Pugeot:
