I'm not too sad. Lincoln's been a waste of space ever since they gave up on the LS. At least with brands like Pontiac GM was trying new things until it's demise.

The distinction here is that Mercury has been a far more superfluous brand than Lincoln for decades. Mercury's vehicles were rebadged Fords while Lincoln at least had the Town Car. And the distinction continues; you'll never confuse the MKS for a Fusion.

Ford has been spending money on Lincoln hand over fist to get those profits from luxury cars. At Pebble this year, the Lincoln marketers tried very hard to set up the largest booths to promote the entire Lincoln line-up. Do I think it worked? We'll have to see the sales numbers at the end of the year to see.

Lincoln must stop making FWD luxo-barges, or at least offer a compelling RWD car.

I want to be a fan of this new NSX....I really do. I just think it looks pedestrian...even compared to its predecessor.

Yeah, no. Just... no. For just a little bit more you can get a Fiat 500 which isn't "truly, profoundly terrible." It's actually a fun car to drive despite being inexpensive rather than because of it.

Or I could get a base model Hyundai Accent. Just saying. For $13K, there are other new cars on the market that fill this niche, and do it with more power. Features and other factors certainly come into play, and a 3 cylender with 74 horses may be just fine through. I guess it all comes down to how much this car…

I'd like to say that, for the record, I actually like the Aston Fusion. It may be the best thing to happen to Ford (until these recent developments with the Mustang and the success of the STs)
