If I take off that grille, will you die?

I do hope it is binned in favor of more realistic numbers (40-45 for cars, 30-35 for trucks is pretty reasonable IMO).

Porsche’s torque vectoring uses an LSD, either mechanical or electromechanical (PTV or PTV Plus), in conjunction with brake-based LSD logic.

Aw, sounds like somebody can’t accept reality.

The take rate on the DSG for the MkVI GTI was something on the order of 50-60% here in the US. Ford shot themselves in the foot by not offering an automatic on the previous FoST, regardless of market. I don’t know what the take rate for the DSG in Europe is, but it’s clearly enough that VW keeps it in the GTI.

No, he’s right. AWD is a meme intended to sell cars to fools. It only helps with acceleration from a standing start; it has no other performance value. A good set of snow tires and the correct driving techniques will serve you far better than AWD.

Subaru has a class action lawsuit for the CVT? Deets?

They aren’t, but they ARE cheaper than sedans.

Volkswagen called the rise of crossovers in 2011 when the 54.5 mpg mandate was signed into law. They said that the burden was unfairly placed on passenger cars and that the rising costs would make consumers seek out cheaper vehicles, which took the form of crossovers.

Good.

Death wobble is a design flaw inherent in the solid axle front suspension concept. The best way to avoid it is to buy something that doesn’t use a solid axle front suspension :^)

You’d be better served directing your anger at Congress. They’re the ones who signed that infernal 54.5 mpg CAFE mandate into law and basically codified the rise of crossovers.

It’s also nice to see that Ford finally accepted reality and added an automatic to the menu.

“...electronic limited-slip differential...

A rear-drive ST model would be cheaper #justsaiyan

No MQB no care.

I like it.

Dat vane type MAF sensor.
