When I was in little league it was Big League Chew. Nothing like getting kids into the habit of chewin’ at a young age!

This same thing happened to Joel Zumaya a few years back. Watching it at the time, I assumed his entire elbow exploded on the spot.

Fuck you.
Delightfully,
Michigan.

What a hot take.

Re: The noise upon turning left or right - I tried this too. I’ve had bearings go out before and it was super easy to figure out which side it was on (in my Impala). This one was howling all the time. Left, right, straight, reverse. Howling. Turning the wheel didn’t make a lick of difference, which is why I was

That’s very true! We hadn’t had another issue with those rocker arms in the 3100 for about a year and half before we sold it. However, it was knocking like crazy when it was first started. Once it warmed up it went away. I guarantee that thing is still going and probably has close to 180k by now.

The 3100 and 3400 engines that GM made are basically the same, and shared all the faults. My family has owned 4 vehicles with the 3.1 Multiport/3100 SFI/3400 SFI motors and 3 of the 4 went bad.

I would love to find an Achieva SCX with that W41 Quad 4 motor..

This was moreso the pushrod 3400 motor (LA1), not necessarily the LQ1. Though the LQ1 didn’t like it’s own timing belts.

The DOHC 3.4 is different from the 3400 series motor. The 3400 is a pushrod 60 degree V6. They share basically the same block but the entire upper end of the motor is different. The DOHC motor was terrible to work on.. to change the rear spark plugs you had to remove the upper intake manifold.

My first car was a ‘95 Cutlass Supreme coupe. Had the (admittedly garbage) 3.4L DOHC motor. Still loved that car though. Big, comfortable coupe that was quick enough. Too bad someone hit me in it.

Can confirm. Neighbor has one. Now it’s just “Oh there’s Mustang Mark again.”

I’m about to be in the market for a new vehicle and I’m seriously considering going for an AWD 200 if it can be obtained cheaply (which.. it should). It and the new Malibu are the only ones that do anything for me right now.

So salty.

GET OUT.

Because we all know Marchman fucking can’t.

There is no ‘Hit by a car’ and therefore, this is an invalid list. I am sorry.

Though I do agree - Super Ball #1.

Please no.

I’m a sucker for the shape of these cars.

However, I’d have to go with the Mark VIII. Best part is that if I ever found one in decent shape for a decent price, I think the wife would go for it. My late father in law had a ruby red one and until the day he passed away, he talked about that car as the one that got away.

Well I clearly hate the White Sox too so.. they can both eat it! haha
