Not only the water mixing in the oil, but the heat actually causes the entire plastic intake manifold to warp, causing an upper intake manifold gasket leak... I had that issue on my ‘02 Impala LS. Luckily most (if not all?) of the aftermarket (and even OEMs) have fixed that issue in the replacement manifolds.

I saw at least 3 false start penalties on the left side of GB’s O-Line that weren’t called on that last drive..

Well there wasn’t a reliability problem with the last gen CTS-V and ZR1 Corvettes, which were LS series motors. The new Stingray/Z06 motor is an LT series motor (DI, VVT, Active Fuel Management). Still a “Small Block Chevy,” but not the same.
