That’s very similar to the one I had on my E36 M3. I believe it was attached to the inside of the trunk so that when the trunk is open, it is right in front of you to access.

Yeah since it was such an extreme case, it will be interesting what new and unexpected things they’ve found that can be added to their future missions.

When I was valet at a BMW dealership, the 530 (3 liter V-8s) were my favorite to drive around. Super smooth.

It was one of the main reasons I decided against a GTI when I test drove it last year. Just awful and dangerously distracting. To be fair, I’m sure you get used to it after driving it for like a year or so. 

So many times I had to tap on something, then tap it again, then miss the button, etc. etc.

My dad bought me a brand new manual Honda CRX when I turned 16. He taught me how to drive a manual in it around the cul-de-sac. I think he bought it for me as much as for him. :)

Yeah, San Francisco hills + traffic and a manual and I had no issues. A minor inconvenience at best and well worth it.
