It also probably has to do with the fact that when the industry goes near all electric, there won’t be manuals anymore so people are scrambling to get their last manual in before it’s over. I def did that with my Mini Clubman last year. And my brother did likewise with a Miata.

Tom Jones and Art of Noise doing a cover of Prince’s “Kiss.”

It’s amazing how much Jim Farley resembles Chris Farley in that lead picture.

You have about 6 years before they go all electric!

As implied by the article the Clubman is no longer available in a manual. They were available but decided not to continue it after the pause. Thankfully, I got mine in the nick of time. Also, 2024 is the final year for the Clubman, the best Mini of them all. RIP

I never heard the term “the city that care forgot,” but that def has double meaning. I can totally imagine the disparity between poor and rich. With working remote now a thing, I wonder if the gap will widen even further with people wanting to move there.

There are some cringe lines (“The future is now.”) It def has kind of a self-important feel to it. Def not optimistic on this one. I HATED Don’t Look Up for the reasons you stated. Even worse it was not funny.

When I first saw the 599 in person, for a moment I thought it was a Corvette. I don’t think it’s ugly but it’s very boring/bland.

I loved the 360 when it was current but it def hasn’t aged well.

I’ve been making Muffulettas at home recently! I remember trying it for the first time in NO and didn’t like it cause it was REALLY sour but I never forgot it and recently I really missed it and made my own. Not the same but hits the spot.

I’m very envious of your experience there. I can see living there and not

I went around 2007 for Mardi Gras and no matter where I went, the gumbo was the best gumbo ever. And I purposely tried to try as many gumbos. Amazing city. I miss New Orleans the most out of all the tourist cities I’ve been to.

Smiling Friends maybe? I saw a few episodes recently and it had that surreal/weird vibe.

The first one (9 min) is definitely worth watching. I was going to check out parts of it but ended up watching the whole 9 min. I haven’t watched the others though.

I also found Burger King fries to have improved a lot to the point that they’re very good. Light and crispy. The competitors have def caught up in quality and I think them trying not to be McDonald’s fries is working.

And she really is an amazing actress. One of the best out there right now.

Ferrari 333SP. I’ve seen it in action more than a few times back in the days and the noise it makes is like music from a violin.

In one of the video he yells for his mom a few times. No one should have to experience that from another human being.

In Japan it probably is.

Oprah has done so much damage. It’s amazing that she’s still revered.

The double “t” is toughest as there is no equivalent sound in English. It’s like a hard “d” and a soft “t”. The accent is in the first character so, “TTEOK-guk” I actually think “ddeok-guk” is closer to the actual sound.
