I have two: 1. Racing the Silver Arrows by Chris Nixon - Pretty comprehensive book on MB and Auto Union with some great photos. 2. RX-7 by Jack Yamaguchi - Super detailed book on how they designed and developed the RX-7. Probably similar to the holy grail of auto books, Driving Ambition, just a tad less fancy. :)

I was going to follow the series but just couldn’t commit to it. Now I just tune in when it’s on just to see Annie Murphy act. She is so expressive and funny that that is more than enough for me.

I love all gens of 911s but this is a bit too much and I don’t think it works with the new rounder body and a near-race version at that. It should have a ducktail too.

Oh how is that KitcheAid attachment? Easy to maintain/use? Built well?

Youtube TV and Pluto’s Smithsonian channel runs large blocks of episodes and I just leave them in the background during work hours. :)

That is such an amazing statistic (the last crash in the US), it’s truly hard to imagine esp since how much busier air travel is. (knocks on wood)

Just finished watching the ep (S2 Ep5) and a cool bit they covered was that the NTSB investigator consulted a NASA engineer on how to make the checklist much easier and clearer to follow during any distractions by breaking the list into smaller parts and even changing the font.

Yeah that’s what I like about them: the subtle modern updates to them but what I’m saying is that this one is TOO subtle.

This is the first Singer that I’m not blown away by. This time it’s a bit too subtle. The interior is nice but again, not blown away by it.

From the same show: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/russias-rocket-toting-robot-dog-is-chinese-for-sale-on-alibaba

This was on an episode of “Air Disasters” on the Smithsonian channel, one of the greatest time killer tv shows. I love how they recreate the events and bring in some really good experts to discuss the case. I see that it’s available to watch on my Youtube TV so will definitely check it out tonight1

This is amazing. Great stuff John!

Sean Young limo scene.

There’s a hot dog place in San Francisco that has Chicago Dogs but instead of sport peppers, they add banana pepper or pepperoncini and it’s just not the same at all.

I ordered a couple of bottles from wine.com a few weeks ago and because of the heat wave in CA, they couldn’t ship them out specifically citing the heat wave. It was finally delivered a few days ago.

1995 Dakar Yellow BMW E36 M3. Bought it new and put 80K miles before I reluctantly sold it after moving to San Francisco. To this day nothing handles like it. It’s so direct and you know exactly where the car and wheels are on the road. And then you add the torquey inline six that can get to the redline effortlessly.

I also have Youtube TV so I have access to most of those shows. I heard lot of good things about The Bear!

Taika is always good for laughs! I forgot that’s on there.

I signed up and gave Hulu $8 for my brother and myself to watch it but there really wasn’t anything else to watch there (might watch Devs) so I’ll be cancelling it. Great great movie and would really look great on the big screen.
