Maybe you have a VERY NARROW definition of consulting firm. Maybe you just mean FINANCIAL SECTOR CONSULTING? Because yeah, Finance sector jobs are still about blowing other people’s money.

But there are a hell of a lot more consulting firms in the world that consult on stuff that isn’t finance related. I have worked

My point is that if people TRULY care about climate change they wouldn’t take frivolous trips across oceans to see friends and family agree to contracts, let alone to go see sights.

It is possible one of them just got out of law or med school. I have known a lot of doctors and lawyers, not one has been itching to put new aftermarket rims on their Kia.

Not only that. His entire goal is to get clicks. Yet every click costs energy usage. A website that nobody visits has negligible carbon impact. But The Gizmodo empire, every clickbait article is destroying the environment.

Most frequent travelers (consultants) have travel policies which specify that employees are booked in business class for flights greater than 6-7 hours. So anything in the US/North America is in coach, intercontinental flights are in business.

To be fair, there should be no reason anyone would need to travel for work with webex, face time, etc.

The only way they could be electrified is by having a nuclear plant on board. Do you trust the cruise industry goign nuclear?

Fwiw, the ships are already driven by electric motors, they just have massive diesel generators onboard.

It may lead to a bit more ignorance, but at least the planet will be more habitable, amiright?

No, just don’t go to the Grand Canyon. There are plenty of amazing videos of it you can watch on a 4k TV. Why in the hell would ANYONE who cares deeply about climate change need to say “Screw the environment. I absolutely must look at this big hole in the desert in person, in order to be a complete human”

You can watch the wedding on Facetime. Why in the hell would someone hold a wedding in Austrailia and invite people for the US, if they cared even a tiny bit about climate change?

Isn’t a wedding just somethign where people are agreeing to contractual asset sharing for the rest of their lives, unless of course they

Except they are cashing paychecks signed by those fuel wasters. That is who employs them. Not us readers.

a frequent flyer tax would only kick in after a certain amount of travel, sparing those who fly only once or twice a year for a family vacation or whatnot.

Not only is it ridiculously low effort and stupid looking, it wouldn’t even be legal. Most places have laws against the A pillars being more than 4" wide because it blocks your view.

I can guarantee you that whatever the Tesla pickup looks like it won’t have 2.5 ft wide A pillars that go all the way to the nose of the

Nah, I clock in around that, and I am much fatter in the belly. 239 actually seems right. I am honestly more surprised that he isn’t claiming 185lbs or some such nonsense.

Does John Cusak honestly think he isn’t one of the 1%?

Seriously dude, stop pretending you are one of the little People that Bernie is advocating for.

In this case it wasn’t an underpowered truck struggling with a hill, it was a moron driver who didn’t know how to use a lower 4WD(6 in this case) gear for climbing without spinning the wheels.

Speaking of Trucks that are all show. When I was a teenager I drove a 63-1/2 Falcon to high school. It was an incredibly light

Yep, I ride in Seattle. Seattle may not have the most aggressive drivers, but we have insanely built infrastructure that is just begging for motorcycles to get nailed. For example, one of the turns I make every morning is just nuts. Two lanes turn left into one lane. So you merge in the middle of the turn. Only there

Yeah but how often are motorcyclists really hit by cars doing 5 MPH slower than them in an adjacent lane on the freeway?

Most Motorcycle fatalities don’t actually even involve a car at all, but the ones that do are usually from a car turning left in front of an oncoming motorcycle, or a motorcycle turning left in

The closest I ever came to being killed on my motorcycle was by a driver of a 7 series BMW running a red light about 3-4 seconds after it turned.

I began accelerating into the intersection when my light turned green. There was a semi truck in the closest cross lane on my right side, I could not see anything beyond it

you can literally ride this motorcycle without ever touching the left grip. It’s a strange feeling initially, but the simplicity is refreshing.
