that’s an interesting theory. I could see that happening.

no worries. It’s the internet. We’ve all been on both ends of a misunderstanding at least once by this point, probably. :)
??
yes, but i think that was the ‘official’ release.
Half of Nintendo’s releases end up insanely punctual (Xenoblade series is a marvel here) and half end up in limbo for a console’s entire life cycle (Bayonetta 3 and Tears of the Kingdom are as good of examples as any). No way of telling one way or another when the game is announced and game quality seems to have…
I agree that it’s never been anything quite like this, but another example that might be relevant here is Hades, which I swear came out the morning of the Direct that announced it.
I know it can never happen, but I’d kill for a re-release of DKR on Switch. Most fun I’ve had with a Kart game ever.
honest question... hasn’t Nintendo done this a few times? I swear I remember that they had a surprise game that released right after a Direct on multiple instances, but most of the titles are escaping me. Maybe nothing this high of a pedigree, but the Zelda Necrodancer spin-off pretty much did this, yeah? Or are we…
Do people leave the music at 100 for any game? I always turn it down lower than any other volume selector. Not so much because I don’t like it, but mostly to make sure that the important sound (sound effects, dialogue) can be heard above it. I’m sure modern games are mixed to account for this, but I don’t like taking…
linguine w/clam sauce is my longest running recipe for a quick, lazy dinner. I’ve made it since I lived in my first apartment, some 20-25 years ago. I often throw in a can of tomatoes, but other than that, I essentially use your recipe. Truly a great dinner that never goes out of style. Thank you for the…
I mean, anything’s possible. I cannot categorically rule out your argument. It doesn’t feel likely to me, though.
yeah, i wouldn’t mind one or two jokes (something about the aforementioned rafts or referencing how nonsensical his item recipes are). Something that you could be out of the room for and not miss anything. But it can’t be a central point of the show
I appreciate your thought process here. You seem to have been deliberate and thought this through.
Everybody’s take will vary, but I think on one end it is the black protagonist setting off some portion of the audience. But then on the other end, it looks like she just got tossed into the most generic of fantasy worlds, so it doesn’t feel like that interesting of a game... imagine if you took all the spoilers and…
on the other end of the spectrum, I remember the Point Break remake used a quote in a commercial that called it “like a modern day Point Break” or “like Point Break for a new generation.” That’s pretty grim right there.
i don’t normally read video articles but I came here to say this. holy hell.
no one is denying what tiktok is doing here. Well, I’m not. My point is that all these american social media companies are collecting info in similar fashions and using it for purposes that I (and I think a lot of reasonable people) find equally revolting and manipulative. That’s not a hypothetical situation either…
exactly. I feel like this really shows the strength of Sony’s (and Nintendo’s, though I didn’t bring them up initially) library. Xbox has literally done everything right...except create compelling competition to those exclusives. And they’re paying for it.
yup.
Interesting that MS still can’t catch Sony on this when it feels like they have advantages in a) availability and b) console pricing. Granted the second one is a little more nebulous given their confusing SKU menu, but they still have the lower entry price.
