i didn’t even know about this, but it sounds bizarre. Admittedly, I love Hollow Knight and find the hype on Ori to be a tiny bit overblown (I have a theory that it partially got where it did because it was the only game of its kind exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem. had it come out on PS or Switch at the time, it might

my condolences... I think I’ve seen a few people get into arguments with Walker where he doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense. The quality of the writing has definitely suffered over there.  Too much focus on video now, too.

so, the combat is the best it’s ever been... but we’re calling this the worst game in the series cuz story?

Kotaku is too busy writing about... <checks notes> Disneyland to cover this game.  They still haven’t really run any reviews of Bayonetta 3 either, but have promptly covered the dull-ass controversy about it.  I really need a new game site to read.

...and if you enter the Konami code (u, u, d, d, l, r, l, r, b, a, b, a, start) in Contra, you start with 10X as many lives.

wow, this looks so modern Disney and I hate it. Why don’t they just subtitle it “The Tardis Awakens” or something?

the decision-making is horrible on this show.  To be fair, a lot of it was on GoT, too.  I think it bothers me less here because everyone on this show has been of poor judgment since the beginning so the bar is set very, very low.

God, i miss the old recaps. The chronological structure of these is starting to get a little tiresome. I feel like even the “newbies” version of the GoT recaps had a better understanding of the show. This just seems to be taking potshots at inconsistencies. Valid? Sure. But it all just feels catty and pointless. You

i thought Nintendo was trying to make this a *less* sexy Bayonetta game. Unless maybe she turns into an SUV or one of those fake rubber wheel trolleys in the “blandified” mode or something.

agreeing with “buy our game anyway” is definitely a bold stand.

we got some sort of Joker up here.

perfect game to roll out the $70 era, eh?

I’ve grown wary of thinkpiece-y articles on this site and I did sort of grit my teeth when I saw a second Monolith Soft-centered thing, but I’m (mostly) loving Xenoblade 3, so I thought I’d take a chance... and I’m glad I did. Extremely good work.

pretty good for video games that are digital board game adaptations or for reading.  My partner draws on hers.  Aside from all that, I’m kind of struggling to justify it.

not worth it. i’d still rather buy the physical and be able to sell it to someone, even if it’s just for $15 or so. Digital is kinda trash and all of these companies need to step up their discount game.

same. I could afford a ‘real’ plan for my 6S, but the thought of spending that money on my phone just revolts me. I pay $300 upfront once a year.  Works fine for me.  This is an idiotic criteria for Blizzard to select.

All i see here is: holy ghost pepper, phone plans are expensive now!

Good for Velma, but James Gunn is a self-aggrandizing piece of shit, so it’s entirely possible he’s just lying about having tried to be the good guy on this.

...or I could buy, say, Shredder’s Revenge on sale for $20 and probably have a better time.

This is part of why Hades was my top game of the past decade. You can run the whole game in about half an hour and feel that you still a got a full gaming experience, if that makes sense.  This doesn’t quite look like my bag, but I get the appeal.
