I viewed the argument as what happens if you work for a company that all through out management disagrees with abortion and your boss sees you out there protesting for abortion rights and decides to fire you. Yes, as an at will employee the company can do that, but do you want companies to essentially chill free

Oh I didn’t mean to say guys don’t do it. From what I hear from other women, men are even worse. I just figured based on the amount of complaints I hear about guys I thought women were better about filling out profiles... until I joined and realized both sexes don’t give a shit down here.

I just want women to have a profile. I can’t count the number of women, at least in South Florida, that have blank profiles entirely.

Pitbull... all day, every day... and I dont even like Pitbull

See and its so much easier for me to wake up with the sun in the morning, and I dont give a shit about running errands and doing shit in the dark after work.

I saw her/his comment early on so I dont know if anyone else found it as useful, but glad this got its own post because the idea of screencapping a map of w/e city I’m in and using it as a lock screen is perfect.

One of the attorneys I work with (for? he’s 80) likes to tell story of how his father (also an attorney) handled these things. He always made sure he had a drink in his hand at social functions and would say “I dont give legal advice when I’m drinking, call me in the morning.”

Her doppelganger on HIMYM was a Russian stripper.

I can understand the appreciation of cats, I love them too, but I am allergic so I only get to play with them in small doses outside of my house if I ever want to breath normally at home. I also do not have children because the dog (and only one) is about my level of responsibility.

Maybe if he worded it like “I’m glad I don’t have a dog because I would spend all of my time with it and it would be hard to work with him/her staring at me all day.” I love my dog, but I would understand the sentiment that not having her would make working from home easier (I do not work from home and this entire

I would add French Quarter Fest as a great time to go if you want to try food. Many of the restaurants in town set up tents throughout the Quarter and serve miniature versions of some of their most popular dishes. No admission (at least as of 5 years ago, the last time I went, there wasn’t one). Multiple stages with

I thought that “bench” looked familiar, then I looked at the arched window off to the side and new it had to be Tulane Law. Many a boring class spent in that room.

Ended up back in Florida. Went to Univ. of Miami for my Estate Planning LLM and stayed, plus Miami is where I grew up so it was an easy decision. If I had gotten into NYU Tax LLM who knows where I would have ended up.

Tulane was my law school, but Florida was my undergrad and UF law is ridiculously affordable for in-state students - and if you want to stay in Florida it gives you plenty of connections.

Your wife has my same loan structure - practically nothing from undergrad and a shit ton from JD/LLM. My parents offered the help on the loan repayment so my income went into buying my home at the bottom of the market in 2011 and has doubled in value since (for whatever good that does me since I have no intention of

This is one part where I think it’s easier for women in the casual sex part (besides just being easier to get sex if you’re a woman in general) - men don’t seem to care if the women has experience or not, whereas inexperienced men are not exactly ideal FWB, even if that is all we want (I write that and I feel like I

My grandfather moved to Miami as a child so I have never had occasion to go (nor do I believe I have any family remaining in the area). Good to know though. Thanks.

Did she leave Syria for Detroit? I would not have thought it was a common thing but my grandfather’s family did the same thing when they left, but it considerably before Ms. Elias’ family would have left. Maybe there is (or was at least) a significant Syrian community there.

Same. Its almost depressing how few of those questions I can answer with any sort of reasonable answer (have enough saved to not be working in 10 years seems unworkable, but that would be my goal).
