I CAN see the convenience of people going back to watches. We wore them when I was growing up. I still do. This isn't a rant against watches, or even against these silly smartwatches, to be honest. It's about people pretending that something is essential or "for emergencies" when it's really just a toy you want to

Why didn't your teacher just take the phones and put them in her desk?

Because it's a PDA + internet access + camera + phone when I do need one. But I'm not one of those people who pulls it out whenever I'm idle for three and a half seconds either.

Maybe I'm just from another time. I love my smartphone, but I remember the days when people needed to call me on a landline, and thus I know for absolute certain that the world will not end if I don't answer the phone.

That's a pretty dumb thing to do.

If you could REALLY check your phone by looking at your watch, it'd maybe be worth something. But nope. All you can do is see that your phone wants to tell you something, so then you have to pull out your phone anyway.

Nobody needs a smartwatch. They're pretty useless if you don't have a smartphone, and if you do have a smartphone, you're better off just looking at your phone.

They're straight, white guys with college degrees. They can get jobs from other straight, white guys who are just like them. They'll be fine :(

That should be *dunno why

I dunno people act all shocked and confused that these assholes do this stuff. It's not new. They've been doing it for a hundred years and getting away with it.

Must be pretty damn awesome to be a rich, white guy.

Well, I know it's not accurate for Hawaii. While there is a native independence movement here, they're a tiny fringe minority. It's most definitely not what most people here want at all.

Yah, I know those dissenters are just idiots.

Americans worship rich people more than they hate bankers, so the bankers are pretty safe.

Ugh, that is awful. Cute top. Somewhat okay skirt. Darling shoes. The overall effect of it all together? Bleh.

Since you ARE still here, let me try to explain in a different way than others have why this comment was not "a-okay".

So you lied and you're not really done then.

So we can look forward to never hearing from your dumb ass again? Awesome!

Airlines also weren't charging you $25 a bag, so that's a pretty silly complaint.

This is so bizarre to look at. I wasn't alive for any of this. For me, air travel has ALWAYS been about being crammed in as tightly as possible, hell the whole way. I find it unbelievable that people ever actually enjoyed flying.
