Very well said. Even in the liberal circles I travel in, transphobic slurs are used regularly. It's a favorite way for a lot of people to insult a less-than-femininely-ideal woman (such as Ann Coulter). like you say.

IMO, those groups you mentioned are just trying to get different pro-choice factions fighting with each other.

Privilege is a scale in this context. When I'm in Japan, I'm certainly more privileged than a black woman. But I'm far less privileged than a Japanese woman.

i know one of the main reasons so many bars in heavily touristed areas in Korea and Japan are closing to foreigners is b/c they get drunk, don't pay, harass the staff, and act like general assholes (and then say people "stole" from them when the drunkenly lost their cell phone, wallet, etc.).
