Denny’s is doing some interesting things. Here in the small downstate IL town where I work, I was looking at restaurants on Google, and I saw one close by that I’d never heard of. It turns out that Denny’s has kind of a ghost kitchen deal called “The Meltdown” with carry-out only versions of fancy grilled cheeses.

I got a notice about the original recall, but it was less a “recall” than that they just said they would replace the hose at no charge if it started leaking in the next 10 years (or some similar period). Maybe this means they’re going to proactively change them instead?

They’re all part of SSM Health now. On their site I put in the ZIP, and the nearest maternity services it showed was in Shiloh. But when I go to the individual hospital site for Mt. Vernon, it does show they do birthing there. No longer in Centralia, though.

My wife was born here, as well. There won’t be any more babies born here, because the hospital no longer has a maternity department. 50 mile trip to the nearest one that does. Life in rural America. :(

Is this different from “Enable predictive back animations” that’s already available in Developer options in Android 13 on a Pixel?

Gasoline that’s in a sealed container isn’t going to change much over time. There’s nowhere for the volatiles to go, and the compounds are fairly stable without exposure to oxygen or water vapor. I don’t do anything special with my push mower at the end of the season, and it still starts on the first pull after 24

Hey, from Centralia. We lived elsewhere for 20 years, but we moved back here to care for our aging parents. Our kids are grown now, but when our daughters were teenagers, they didn’t believe me when I told them the teen pregnancy rate was actually worse when I was in high school in the 80's.

Ooo, interested to see how this goes. My dad has a 198x Country Squire that looks basically like this, and also with the V8 and mileage in the 20k range. He really should get rid of it, because it never gets driven these days, and this might give me an idea what it could bring.

I’m almost 57, and it’s still a comfort food kind of thing for me. My wife tried an experiment a few weeks ago: she made a quick and easy pot pie for lunch with DM beef stew and a Bisquick dough topping. It was pretty tasty!

I highly recommend white electrical tape for labeling. It won’t come off in the freezer until you peel it off, but then it will come off easily and cleanly.

That will always be such a beautiful car. It does have a bit of koala or something going on from the front, though. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Maybe Adam Kinzinger?

Plus, even many “landline” phones are actually using VoIP through some type of gateway connected to a cable or fiber ISP.

Best review of a stock toast photo I’ve ever read. I laughed, I cried, it moved me and became a part of me.

You’re right of course about the hardness of egg shell vs. blade, but there’s a difference between hardness and brittleness. In fact, things that are harder tend to be more brittle. For example, you can hit your blender blade with a hammer and nothing will likely happen to it. But if you hit a diamond with a hammer,

But I like my toast dry! I purposely let it sit in the toaster after it pops up just so it can dry out a bit more. I think I’m not alone in preferring it this way, because toast racks are a thing, and their main purpose is to keep toast dry.

I think your only option is to use a masonry bit and lead anchors. Depending on how the shelves themselves are intended to mount, you might use anchors big enough to screw in sections of threaded rod.

It depends on what your baking, too, though. That kind would be terrible for cookies. For cookies you really want a heavy-duty bare aluminum commercial cookie sheet. I invested in a couple like this a few years ago, and they still look just like that, because they simply wipe clean after I use them. Plus I’ve never

Walmart is one of the few places left to get groceries in our rural Midwest town: Walmart, Schnucks, and ALDI. Walmart has, in my experience, the best self-checkout system. I don’t mind using it at all, and in fact prefer it. Schnucks could learn a thing or two from Walmart, because their self-checkout is somewhat

Okay, I’ve filled it out. Where do I send it? Can I just fax it?
