Not to mention that if there’s to be talk of ripping off, the Big Mac was partly a response to the Whopper in the first place.

Oh, this reminds me of the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in real life! I was at a reception my company threw at a trade show we were attending. A small group of us were standing around a guy from another company telling a long but entertaining story about going to college in a town that had a cream pie factory. It was…
Yep, to tell this story one more time... I drove a manual Chevette of this vintage in college in the 80's, and it was pretty crappy. One day on my way to class, I tried to downshift and the entire shifter came off in my hand. The spot welds holding the mechanism to the floor all failed.
even some chemicals in sunscreens might trigger skin allergy symptoms
Burger Chef was great. The original “have it your way” place, with their Works Bar. They had the Funmeal years before McD’s had the Happy Meal. Somewhere in a box I think I still have my 70's vintage Funmeal Star Wars posters.
When I had to do some major work in our master a couple of years ago after the tub drain leaked, I made sure I’d be able to attach the new towel bar to wood on each end. It meant screwing a length of 2x4 between two existing studs before putting up the new drywall, but it’s firmly attached and solid now. If you can’t…
Small stature? 720 calories already makes it more than I need to eat in one meal!
I made some of this to go with lunch today. Subbed shredded parmesan because I had it, and added a few raisins since I only had a few cranberries on hand. It was really good. I’m looking forward to leftovers at lunch tomorrow.
A good balsamic is amazing. If all you’ve had is the watery stuff from the grocery store aisle, you need to try a good, thick, aged real balsamic vinegar. I’m convinced you can put it on absolutely anything, and it tastes good. I’ve had it on meat, vegetables, fruit (especially peaches or berries), and even ice cream.…
Oo, I planted an asparagus bed this year. It’s doing well, but of course I can’t harvest any until next year when it’s well-established. Looking forward to trying recipes like this with my own fresh asparagus!
Republicans Will Definitely Support Gun Control After an Armed Man Threatened Brett Kavanaugh—Right??
A lot of things that might be in birdseed mix are technically grasses. Wheat and even corn are in the grass family.
I’ve told this story here before, but in college I was driving a Chevette (~1979 model or thereabouts). One morning on the way to class, I was downshifting coming to a stoplight, and the gearshift came off in my hand. Not just the knob, the entire stick. The spot welds holding the mechanism to the floor had all come…
When our kids were little, CiCi’s was a great deal. Back then it was $2.99 for their all-you-can-eat. You did have to pay for a drink, too, but it was still a really cheap way to get a lot of food.
Our oldest daughter lived in Bosnia for two years, so I first had cevapi when we went to visit her there. That and sirnica (kind of similar to spanakopita) were my favorite Bosnian foods. Our daughter was studying there, and she and her classmates made up a funny song about cevapi that they sang during the graduation…
Yep, microwave is the way to go! About 2 minutes per ear. Take it out and cut at the stem end, then just squeeze the ear out. Virtually all the silk stays with the husk. There’s no easier way to get a perfectly cooked, silk-free ear of sweetcorn.
Wow, I was about 12 when that came out, and I can still remember almost all the lyrics. The brain is a strange thing.
I can agree with the Taurus. My parents have a 2012 Taurus, and my wife and I have a 2016 Fusion. There’s clearly more interior space in our Fusion than in the Taurus, especially rear legroom. The Fusion is the first Ford I’ve owned since the ‘80s, and I’m really happy with it. It’s the 2.0L EcoBoost, fairly loaded,…

How is immunotherapy supposed to work in the first place? I mean, I’m exposed to the the things I’m allergic to all the time anyway. Why doesn’t that build up an immunity to them?
