I’m even in a technically blue state! Red part of it, though. I don’t understand my county at all. It used to be very purple. Voted 49% for Obama, but somehow also voted 72% for Trump? That makes no sense to me at all.
Sure. They don’t do testing for free here. You can pay for a test at the pharmacies. Walgreens only has free testing at “select locations,” none of which are in my county. The county health department is useless. And seems to be run by COVID deniers. A while back they announced they would no longer be doing contact…
There are no free testing sites anywhere in my county.
Why list the Fossil Gen 5 instead of the Gen 6? The Gen 6 looks and feels even nicer, and is slated to be updated to Wear OS 3.

The dozen of us in my area at work have all become coffee snobs. We have a Keurig, but it basically never gets used anymore. A couple of us use a French press, and several others are doing pour over. I experimented with brew times, and I found 4-1/2 minutes best for my coffee. I do use a fairly fine grind, but I try…
I was kidding of course, but I do like a few good pork rinds occasionally.
Can I get the same effect from just eating pork rinds?
Unfortunately, if you’re actually on ice it doesn’t matter much what you do. You’re not going to stop until you’re not on ice, or until you hit something that stops you. On snow, gravel, wet pavement, etc., ABS can maybe help you out. Ice is terrible.
Our middle daughter loved The Cosby Show, and for her 16th birthday we took her to see one of his stand-up shows. That’s such a weird memory for all of us now all these years later. :-/
Automatic seat belts, in that brief period around 1987-88 between when active restraint was mandated, but airbags weren’t ubiquitous yet. The seat belt either was attached to the rear edge of the door and you had to kind of slide in under it as you got in, or it was motorized in a track around the door frame and prone…
Whew! I had a Chevette in college in the 80s. One day on the way to school, I was coming to a stoplight and went to downshift...and the shifter came off in my hand. Not just the knob, the entire shift lever. Luckily it was in second gear, and I was able to make my way home. The metal cup that held the lever in place ha…
Isn’t it Ketanji instead of Kentaji?
Yep, for a long time my morning routine has been: take medicine, floss, then brush and don’t rinse the toothpaste out. 30 minutes or so later I’ll have coffee. I haven’t had a cavity in years.
I graduated from high school in ‘84. I think many of us have some sense of nostalgia for things from our teen years, before life became...real. Our favorite music and our favorite pizza are what we listened to and what we ate when we were in high school.
I had my first one in November, and the worst part for me was near the end of the prep. I had been doing really well, I thought, but then the last couple of doses of laxative made me so nauseated that I threw up. The procedure itself was simple. Like you, I had a type of anesthesia that didn’t leave me feeling weird…
It all depends on how you use them and how much you drive on them, of course, but I get about 5 years out of the winter tires on my SRT-4. I’ve been using General AltiMAX for a long time, and am pretty satisfied with them. When I first got them they were one of the few winter tires I could find in the size I needed.
Pretty good analysis. If this were half the price, I’d likely be on the NP side. Having owned several 2.2L/2.5L cars (I still currently own two), and having owned an ‘89 Voyager, I have a lot of positive feelings for this van. But we turbo Mopar people are a notoriously cheap bunch, and I think it’s going to be hard…
I was a little disappointed these weren’t from Chopped champion Drew Magary.
