The closest thing I can think of for a nighttime-only food would be popcorn. Definitely it is at home, and in the beforetimes when we went to see movies, I would likely only get popcorn at a nighttime showing.

Dealing with the oil is the main thing that keeps me from doing it much. I mean, ideally I’d filter it and keep and reuse it, but I just don’t do it often enough to make it worth it.

Almost anything, really, is worth a try. There are tons (tonnes?) of great UK movies and shows. I’ll mention a couple of them my wife and I have enjoyed: the movie Fisherman’s Friends and the series Last Tango in Halifax.

The first time I had shawarma was in Dubai, where it had fries and pickled vegetables in it. Absolutely delicious! I make a decent version at home by grilling chicken rubbed with garam masala and wrapping it in a thick flour tortilla with fries, giardinella, and a nice garlicky, lemony sauce.

At least on my 80's turbo Chryslers and on my SRT-4 Neon, the engine controller does cut off fuel if you floor it while cranking. It’s the positive ions in the metal, especially nickel in stainless steel. Nickel ions have a +2 charge, and bind with the -2 charged sulfur ions. Salt, with its positive sodium ions, and acids like vinegar with positive hydrogen ions, also work to lessen garlic smell.
